Teams for EU LCS Spring playoffs decided

League of Legends World Championship semifinalists Origen and Fnatic have made it into the EU League Championship series (LCS) Spring playoffs with three games left.

Origen (8-7) had to sub out sick mid laner Tirstan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage for owner Enrique “xPeke” Cedeño Martínez against Unicorns of Love (9-6), who took a break from competitive play since the 2015 World Championship semifinals since their defeat at the hands of champions SK Telecom T1.

However, with just one day of practice xPeke still managed to be a contribution to the team. It was a game with almost equal number of kills but the Unicorns failed to convert them into towers and allowed Origen to progress from the group.

Meanwhile, Fnatic (9-6) had a walk in the park as they played against a struggling Giants Gaming team, with only two kills collected by their opponents.

The two semifinalists would be joining G2 Esports and H2k-Gaming who tied at first place and 12-3, as well Vitality (11-4) and Unicorns of Love (9-6) who already qualified.

At the bottom of the table, Splyce (5-10) sits in the last qualifying spot at seventh, having defeated Elements (4-11) to pull ahead with a one-win difference. On the other hand Giants Gaming will face elimination should they lose to G2.
